It wasn’t until after graduating from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in 2013 that I began reading studies analyzing the properties of the reishi mushroom. These studies showed cellular revitalizing effects from some of the chemicals that this mushroom produced.
As I began to study deeper, I discovered that the reishi mushroom wasn’t the only mushroom on our planet that had these healing properties. The shiitake, maitake, turkey tail, chaga, and several more have also been shown to contain these molecules that heal our bodies. Each of these mushroom contain super complex sugars called beta-glucans. However, each mushroom produces beta-glucans that are a little bit different.
Each one of us is different and has different ailments. We all need a diverse natural medicine to keep our insides healthy.
I thought, “wouldn’t it be amazing to have a liquid extract of each one of these powerful mushrooms and put them all together for a super complex, broad spectrum medication?”
This is how Super Mushroom Complex was born.
Due to minor setbacks, the lab and growing area construction has been put on hold. For the time being, we are using farm raised organic, kosher certified reishi, shiitake, and maitake mushrooms and wild, organic turkey tail to make Super Mushroom Complex.
In the future we hope to expand into a mushroom teaching facility to give people the power to grow their own medicine at home.
